News on August 15

News on August 15, a few days ago, the cross-border e-commerce platform AliExpress added new provisions to the original terms to encourage sellers to choose online delivery logistics channels in response to the use of various logistics channels by sellers, in order to strengthen the management and control of seller logistics procedures.

Yibang Power Network learned that on the AliExpress platform, many sellers often choose some unconventional logistics service providers or agents due to price factors in order to reduce logistics costs. Due to the informal channels, it often leads to frequent complaints from buyers and an increase in the complaint rate. Either there is no logistics tracking information, the packet loss rate is high, or the timeliness is difficult to guarantee, and the shopping experience is poor.

In this regard, AliExpress announced that it hoped that sellers would choose formal and risk-controllable logistics channels to ensure the authenticity and effectiveness of logistics and reduce sellers' trading risks. Therefore, it encourages sellers to use the online delivery logistics channels provided by the platform.

The new terms clearly state that the logistics tracking information recognized by AliExpress is only online delivery logistics tracking information, the official website information of various postal services, including the official website information of international express delivery, including UPS, DHL, FedEx, TNT and TOLL, as well as logistics tracking letters provided by SF Express and EMS official websites. Breathe. AliExpress has the right not to approve the logistics tracking information that cannot verify the authenticity.

It is reported that AliExpress does not agree with the seller to contact the third-party logistics line by itself, pointing out that if the logistics tracking information of false logistics channels is provided, the platform will not recognize and reserve the right to investigate the seller's corresponding responsibility.

As for why sellers are encouraged to use online delivery, AliExpress explained that the platform has always required sellers to use stable logistics channels that can track logistics information. First of all, the logistics channels for online delivery access are all high-quality logistics channels recognized by the platform. Secondly, sellers use online delivery, and the platform can track logistics tracking information throughout the way from the package enters the logistics merchant's warehouse. Moreover, online delivery also provides sellers with a series of guarantees and convenient services.

According to Yibang Power Network, the so-called "online delivery" refers to the service of seller placing orders online, picking up goods at home by courier companies, and paying freight online and one-stop online query of logistics tracking information. At present, the "online delivery" model has been widely adopted by AliExpress, Dunhuang.com and other foreign trade e-commerce platforms, but it is currently limited to small packages. In order to strengthen the control of logistics channels, AliExpress has been vigorously promoting online delivery logistics channels. However, under the pressure of logistics costs, most sellers will still use international small packages as the main logistics method.
